What's the Difference Between the Organic Oil BodySlide and Nuru BodySlide?

There are many difference between the two packages. Which one is better is really based upon your personal preference. The Main and obvious reason to comment on first would be one uses organic oil and the other uses Nuru massage Gel.

  Organic Oil Vs Nuru Gel as a Product.

Organic Oil used in the Bodyslide uses more of a thicker oil than our usual bodyrub package. The consistency of a thicker oil such as avacado will give better slide motion than say if we used coconut or a lighter more absorbent oil. The feeling of oil and the consistency creates more friction and harder pressure than the Nuru Massage Gel. Nuru since it is made of seaweed and is synthesized is super slippery! Thus the actual meaning of the word 'Nuru' in Japanese. With Nuru movements are more fluid, have more motion and are very reminiscent of the waves of the ocean. It is a virtual adult slip and slide. 

If a client is looking for something with more pressure and not as much fluidity in motion. Something that has a limited range but gives deeper pressure, I would recommend the oil bodyslide. If a clients is looking for a bodyslide with more movement and fluidity that stimulates the senses and covers more of the body space with empahsis on rhythmic movements I'd recommend Nuru.

                                    

 

Where it takes place and the set up is also different. Manhattan Organic Oil BodySlide Vs Nuru *

Organic Oil BodySlide takes place on our eco friendly professional Massage Table on organic white linen sheets. Which works out perfect because people who chose this package want that deeper pressure. The Bodyslide Artist needs that firm table to use her upper body strength to manipulate the amount of pressure she is using. As the oil has a limited range of sliding motion. It is up to the bodyrub artist to use her muscles and correct placement of hands and feel to push off and give the gliding effect. 

Nuru Massage takes place in our specially reserved, 'Nuru Room'. Authentic Nuru High Gloss Pu Black Sheets cover a Queen size mattress with plenty of pillows and space for the two of you to get comfortable. We use concentrated Nuru and try not to put too much water in the mix so the consistency is nice and thick. We use water bottles to help even out the consistency as needed. That way you are never dealing with a slide that doesn't have the right amount of glide. The Nuru Artist can very easily slide up and down with great ease. For her to start at your back and slide down to your toes with her body takes all of 1 second. This is why it important to have that mattress play space. 

 

 

 

Both Organic Oil and Nuru room temperature is kept the same. 

No difference. It is important for the room to stay at a nice temperature since your bodies are covered in liquids. No on like being covered in oils or gel in a room that is not warm. So rest assured you will be always be comfortable. 

Which comes off easier after the session?  

The Nuru without a doubt comes off easier than oil. The oil absorbs into the skin which is great for people with very dry skin. Nuru is nutrient and mineral rich which absorbs into the skin however it does not leave a residue as oil does. All measure are taken to make sure all the oil is off of you after a Organic Oil bodyslide. It just takes a bit more scrubbing down. Our Hot Towel Massage does a great job of helping out with that. We will NEVER send you off back to work, or into the world with oil or nuru still on you. 

                                                  

Difference in Shower after the session: Organic Oil bodySlide Vs Nuru Massage.

Is really just showering alone or having your Nuru Specialist exfoliate and scrub you down, Shower For two. No big deal or real difference to speak of. Organic oil Sia will give you an amazing hot towel massage and scrub down. She will then set up the shower for you. With the Nuru Massage, Sia does the same but will join you in the shower and get a nice lather up with our loofah puffs. Nuru is such a personal, playful and bonding session it just feels right for her to end the session in a personal way. 

Difference in price : Organic Oil Vs. Nuru.  

It is a $50. difference. Why? Because Nuru is much more expensive than Organic Oil. Especially with us we only use TOP Quality, Real Nuru Gel.  And we use it's concentrated version with less than one part water so you can have an AMAZING Nuru massage where the girl actually glides and slides all over your body with great ease. The difference in texture is everything and well worth it! The Nuru Sheets alone and VERY expensive compared to price of organic linens. This is also why Sia will always make the extra effort of showering you down and making sure you've had the best experience possible. It is important to note however, that extra money being charged for nuru pays for the nuru gel, nuru sheets and nuru expenses. The cost is for the products used. 

 

 So with All this said, it really is just about the type of session you are looking for. Which is better is really up to you. Everyone is different and has different personal preference so this is why we offer a variety.

  

VERY IMPORTANT Side note to New Nuru Massage People:

We always see on forums that some new Nuru Massage go'ers aren't sure why there is a difference in price from place to place. If you see other places charging "cheap" prices for Nuru be wary. First, they may not be using real nuru gel. They actually make generic knock off nuru gel. They may be buying the cheap knockoff product. Or they may be using too many parts water so they use less of the nuru concentrate. It's not the same experience. Also, you pay for what you get. Is a girl who is working for such little money going to care about the cleanliness of her workspace? How is she cleaning up the bed, shower, etc are things you need to think about. Also, how clean is the girl's actually body? Does she really take the time to really scrub herself down and shower between sessions. Does she have good hygiene? The girl is using her body to glide all over yours. You want to make sure your Nuru Specialist is someone who takes great pride in her personal hygiene. Sia is very clean and takes a great amount of pride in herself, her image, her hygiene, grooming and overall cleanliness of her workspace. When you see places doing "cheap" Nuru Massage just remember you pay for what you get. And sometimes you get things you didn't pay for (and I don't mean the good kind of things that you hope to get.)
